On behalf of the Executive Board of the Illinois Business Education Association, I want to invite you to participate in the 2017 IBEA Fall Conference. This year our conference will be held at the Wyndham Springfield in Springfield, Illinois, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. This conference provides an effective means to demonstrate products and services while making personal contacts with approximately 200-250 secondary, post-secondary, and collegiate teachers. Booth rental space is only $300 per booth--$250 if paid in full by September 30.

Any exhibitor/publisher at the 2017 IBEA Conference who provides AV equipment, technology, meals, etc. totaling a minimum of $1,000 for the Fall Conference will be charged 50 percent of the usual fee for exhibit space.

The exhibits will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m. and noon-4:15 p.m. on Thursday. We have scheduled the Grand Opening of the exhibit time, with no other sessions, from 9:30–10:30 a.m. and from 3:30-4:15 p.m. on Thursday (Subject to Change—we only have a tentative schedule at this time). Please note that this is different than the past few years. PLEASE DO NOT PLAN ON PACKING UP UNTIL AFTER 4:15 P.M.

We will provide one complimentary meal to each exhibitor this year since exhibitors will be exhibiting in the room in which we eat. If an exhibitor would like additional tickets, tickets will cost $30 each. Only the paid booths will get the free meal ticket. Please indicate on the booth application form if you will need the complimentary meal and the number of additional meal tickets needed.

I will be serving as co-chair, along with Patrice Boyles for the commercial exhibits for 2017, and we hope you will plan now to be with us this year. Our exhibitors are an extremely important part of our conference, and we welcome your participation. I am enclosing the application for booth space to be returned with a $50 deposit (made payable to IBEA) to reserve your booth space. If you wish, you may submit the full payment of $300 per booth space ($250 if done before September 30) or you may pay via our website with a credit card!

In addition, I am also enclosing a sales tax exemption form to be signed and returned and a door prize confirmation sheet. As the drawings for door prizes are eagerly anticipated by the conference participants, please consider donating a door prize. Please return that sheet with your application for booth rental. If we are informed of your intent prior to the conference, your company’s generosity can be recognized in the conference program booklet. We are also including an information letter.
