Second Vice-President, Kathleen Daughtery, Lake Land Community College

Kathleen Daugherty graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BS Degree in Business Education/Administrative Office Management. While working in the business field Daugherty earned her MS Degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in Business Education. Daugherty has taught Business Education for eleven years in the Junior High and High School and has taught a variety of courses at Lake Land for the past sixteen years. Her diverse background working in business and teaching business brings a wide variety of experiences about different business climates and personality traits to the classroom. She is the coordinator of the Office Technology Medical Program and the Medical Coding Specialist Certificate Program and the Medical Transcription Program. She has lived in the Effingham area for 16 years and her hobbies include following her four children in all of their activities, golfing, snow skiing, water skiing, reading and traveling.

 Board Member-at-Large, Mike Hinthorne, ROWVA High School

Mike Hinthorne has been a Business Teacher for 23 years. He has taught at Spoon River Valley High School, Peoria Heights High School, and has been at ROWVA High School since 1999. Mike is the sponsor for the AV Club and yearbook. He is also responsible for ROWVA High School's Facebook and Instagram accounts. He is also ROWVA's representative for the Sandburg Educational Network. He will be a presenter at Carl Sandburg College's Cyber Camp this summer. Mike belongs to IBEA and is currently the President of WIABEA and an IBEA member-at-large awards co-chair.

Board Member-at-Large, Karen Skaggs, Minooka Community High School

Karen has taught business classes at Minooka Community High School for 15 years. She has been a member of IBEA for 16 years. Karen served as Treasurer of IBEA for seven years. Her duties as treasurer included serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors as she was custodian for IBEA funds and responsible for all budgetary items. In addition, she served at the conference registration desk for three years from 2001-2003.

NCBEA Representative, Kathy Mountjoy, Illinois State University

Kathy is an associate professor at Illinois State University. She has served in many capacities with IBEA, including Secretary. As Secretary, Kathy was a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. She has served as NCBEA Representative since 2013.
