As an affiliate of the Illinois Business Education Association, SWABEA represents business education professionals from schools and community colleges in the southwestern 14 counties in Illinois, and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. 

The specific purpose of SWABEA is to plan, develop, and sustain programs for professionals in business education through meetings, discussions, and conferences.  Additional purposes of SWABEA are to: 

• Promote teaching careers in business education.
• Promote the interest of career and technical education at all educational levels and cooperate with other agencies endeavoring to improve business and career and technical education. 

To apply for membership to SWABEA, you will need to fill out and submit an application.

Southwestern Area Business Education Association (SWABEA) serves business education professionals in these Illinois counties: Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Randolph, St. Clair and Washington counties.
