IBEA is pleased to announce the featured speakers for the 60th Annual IBEA Fall Conference held November 2-4, 2022 at the President Abraham Lincoln A Doubletree by Hilton in Springfield.  We will be “celebrating the stars of business education” with two outstanding speakers.

Thursday, November 3rd Opening Session: Featured Speaker-Tonya Skinner

Making her first appearance at the IBEA Fall Conference is Tonya Skinner. Tonya graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1997 and has since taught in three schools—from very small to large—in Missouri. She has also served as an adult education teacher, adjunct college instructor and industry trainer. During her teaching career, she has served on the board for both the North Central Business Education (NCBEA) and Missouri Business Education Association (MBEA) both as a teacher and as a student, and currently serves as Missouri NBEA Membership Director. In recent years, she has maintained her position as a full-time business teacher while giving presentations, providing computer training, and developing state-wide curriculum. Teaching technology is her passion. She is certified in many technology areas, including Adobe Certified Associate certifications in Web Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere as well as having the title of Adobe Education Trainer and Adobe Campus Leader. She is also a level two Google Certified Educator. She enjoys teaching many facets of business education, though she spends the majority of her workload in technology instruction. In her 25 years of teaching, she’s taught just about everything in business education from 4th grade keyboarding to Business Law to Desktop Publishing and even pre-kindergarten summer school computers! Her biggest hope when speaking to groups is that she can get them as excited as she is about what she is blessed to do each day—teach students to be lifelong learners and embrace the opportunity to be an enthusiastic and positive role model for life.
