The 2017-2018 IBEA President is Ms. Christie Jahn Hovey, who is a professor in the Business and Computer Technology Department at Lincoln Land Community College. She teaches courses in office and computer applications and Introduction to Business and Human Resource Management online.

Christie has been teaching for over 25 years. And she is also a life-long learner. Christie is A.B.D. in the Community College Executive Leadership Doctorate program from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Christie has co-authored three books and is a two-time recipient of the IBEA Writers’ Hall of Fame award.
