IBEA Board of Directors Positions

Elections take place in the spring of each year. Newly elected members begin their term at the close of the fall conference in November of the current year (unless otherwise noted).

Affiliate Representatives: Serves a three (3) year term. Duties: Attend the two IBEA board meetings annually (one in April and one on the Wednesday evening of the IBEA Annual Fall Conference in November) and chair a committee.

President-Elect: The President-Elect automatically advances through the leadership of the IBEA Executive Committee. Requires a three (3) year commitment.

President-Elect -> President -> Immediate Past President

Eligibility: A candidate for President-Elect must have served on the IBEA Board of Directors for two (2) consecutive years.

Duties: Attend two IBEA board meetings annually (one in mid to late April and one on the Wednesday evening of the IBEA Annual Fall Conference in November). Three main responsibilities include: 1) obtaining conference session chairpersons for the IBEA Annual Fall Conference, 2) serving as the IACTE board representative and attending IACTE meetings, and 3) providing IACTE conference sessions and chair persons on behalf of IBEA.
